Concha See I Love Them

Conchas have been Mexicos top selling pastries. Since colonial times

Many believe that the French, Spanish and Italians brought their bake recipes to Mexico. Which through out time came up with the concha, sweet bread that can beenjoyed for breakfast, dessert or a snack.

The concha got its name by its unique sugary top that when it’s baked forms a seashell looking design. Traditional the concha is had with four different sugary tops, pink, white, chocolate, and yellow. With it being people's favorite sweet bread and a combinations of social media. People have created unique fun styles with them. Taking the traditional colors and vampire them up with fun blues and purples giving them a playful look.

Conchalicious Toast

There are many ways to put a funck in this delicious sweet pan. I am a sucker for some French toast so why not use a concha to make it.

  • 2 Conchas (Mexican bakery)

  • 4 Eggs

  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon

  • 1 stick of Butter

  • Vanilla extract (optional)

combine the Cinnamon, eggs, and whisky them together (some add a Tea spoon of vanilla extract) cut the pan in half to get it to soak it better.

Warm up the pan or flat top and add some butter so it can be easier to flip and gets more flavor. Once you have both sides fully cooked, (normally about a 1 minute on each side.) Place on a plate with your favorite tops, fruit with whipped cream or just syrup and enjoy!
