A legend With A Meaningful Style

We all have seen this pop culture icon in posters, drinks, food were named after her. Her style still inspires people not just in the art side but in the fashion world. Frida kahlo has inspired so many designers with it being her art on the fabric or adding her signature pieces to a collection.

For those who don't know, Frida Kahlo was a famous artist from Mexico that has beautiful meaningful deep pieces of art. Once married to Diego Rivera on an off and on marriage with side of drama. But I am not her to talk about her love life, cuz we’ve all had our share of relastionship dramas… and let me tell you I definitely have some chisme of my own… but thats for a different time now we are only here to talk about her amazing wardrobe and the meaning behind it.

When Frida came to the states she kept her style that was native Mexican. She would say it was an expression of her personal politics that it gave her emotional strength and asense of personal identity. She would wear flowered head piece that would represent fertility and faceundity. she couldn't have children do to an accident she had when she was a teen. She decided to accept it and embrace it in other ways.

I am not a psychologist, but i just wanna say I’ve always been intrested in the meaning in clothes and the impacted the have on us. And the fact that she traveled to states and kepted her style. as we all know it can he hard at times to fit in barely know how to connect with others and still wants to make an impact and show people who she is and where she comes from. that i admire.

Sure we see that with a lot of other cultures, and i am not discreating that at all. I am just saying for this case, i admire her strength from the heartbreak and tragedy she had to endure. she still wanted to show it and was able to express it in so many ways, her art, her fashion.
